Eventhough I do not agree with atheists generally I do agree on this particular point. Everyone should have a right to doubt or even dismiss another’s beliefs.Anti-Blasphemy laws are bad business for all (except muslims i guess) as they stiffle debate, questioning, debating, rebating, etc. Freedom of expression is paramount in a democracy and the new laws are against it. I will defend the right of people to blaspheme God even if i don’t agree with their statements.I want people to be able to read B.Russel, Ibn-Al-Warraq ,Dawkins,Gould, Hitchens,etc. and I’m saying that as a New Born Again Christian

What a shame it is to hear about this issue and subsequent laws taking hold in the land of my ancestors. Thank god (figure of speech) I’m an American, and yet we still have useless religious nut-bags running around here too, mucking everything up. Wouldn’t it be great to drag every christian, every muslim out into the street and cut their heads off all at the same time? It really seems like the only way to purge the human race of these delusional people (because, they just get together and breed, popping out more of their unintelligent off-spring, and raising them with the same delusional ideas they actually believe are real; gotta be a genetic defect in there somewhere that needs to be removed.) Of course, that’s nothing more than a genocidal fantasy. Unless anyone has any good ideas on how to actually get that done? Anyone?
Never thought I’d live to see the day when Ireland was afraid of it’s own words, or anyone’s opinion. Shame on you all for letting this happen. Oh and, no need to chastise me on my hateful sentiments toward religion and the religious people of the world, I fully embraced my hatred of it, especially toward christians and muslims. Way to go! You’ve fucked up a perfectly good planet and ruined the species. Good for you.
