"Justice Minister Dermot Ahern says that he is forced to revive the crime of blasphemy because of legal advice from the Attorney General."

Wasn't that the excuse that was used in the case of the 14-year-old girl who was raped and whose family was officially forbidden to travel to England to get an abortion for her?

It saddens me beyond measure to see theocracy alive and well in 21st-century Ireland.

Right then. this is David from Anonymous. like many of you, we're completely against this bill.

I'd imagine that we face the most litigious religion around, and the prospect of not being able to inform folk of the dangers of Scientology due to the threat of litigation is a scary prospect.

Our next protest is on the 13th of June, outside the Mission to Dublin Ltd. on Abbery Street in Dublin. If you're passing and you fancy a chat, feel free to stop by.

To comment on a Quote "Democracy must not fear debate".
Democracy SHOULD fear Fianna Fail, big time, especially when they're looking for a means to deflect attention from themselves, -look at the Nationality referendum last time while now they (MR. Ahern) feels one on blasphemy is un-necessary.
